About Samuel A. Maverick

Guenther Law Group is pleased to welcome Samuel A. Maverick as our newest attorney.

Mr. Maverick brings nearly two decades of legal experience across bankruptcy, family law, and immigration. Since being admitted to the California State Bar in 2005, he has represented clients in both state and federal courts, with extensive practice in bankruptcy matters, creditor disputes, family law proceedings, and immigration appeals.

He began his career with the Law Offices of Ashwani K. Bhakhri in Burlingame, where he handled immigration cases including asylum and cancellation of removal, and represented clients before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He later established his own practice, Maverick Law Office, where he focused on family law, including restraining orders, spousal and child support, custody, and settlement conferences.

Mr. Maverick went on to serve as an associate attorney at Evans Law Offices in San Jose, practicing both bankruptcy and family law. He then built a strong reputation in bankruptcy law while working with respected firms including Rodney Kleman Law Offices in Monterey, Stephen H. Kim, Esq. in Salinas, and Miranda, Magden & Miranda in Salinas. Most recently, he practiced with the Law Offices of David A. Boone in San Jose, where his work emphasized adversary proceedings involving creditor allegations of fraud.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Maverick has successfully litigated complex bankruptcy disputes, defended clients in fraud suits, and secured favorable outcomes in family law and immigration cases. His practice is marked by a commitment to diligent research, strong advocacy, and client-centered representation.

He holds a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from San Jose State University. Mr. Maverick is admitted to the State Bar of California, as well as the Northern and Eastern District Federal Courts of California, and holds Bankruptcy ECF Certification.
